Last summer, I attended the Nebraska Leadership Seminar at Doane College in Crete, Nebraska. That event was a lot of fun. Every three months, the organization has an overnight reunion at a Nebraska high school, and last weekend happened to be the date for the reunion in the Spring of 2011. These reunions start at noon on Saturday and end at noon on Sunday. This particular reunion happened to be held at the Weeping Water High School. My brother, who also attended this seminar, and I were slightly late for this reunion because we were up at Omaha for the Berkshire Hathaway Meeting. That did not stop us from coming, however, and we showed up a little before seven on Saturday night. The first hour or so, we just hung out in the cafeteria catching up with people that we had not seen for three months. After that, some of us watched a game of kickball and some of us played a game of kickball. I happened to be in the watch category by choice. After that fun, a few of us went outside and talked about various things, from politics to international travel. After that there was a dance, followed by sleep. However, it seems as though a majority choose not to sleep. Because of how busy I was, I opted to sleep. When we got up, we had breakfast. The remainder of our time was spent electing the Executive Council, which is a group of students who help plan things such as reunion. My brother and I then went home; we had to shower and change so that we could go to the National Honor Society Induction at our school. We each got to induct a student. After that, we went out to eat with our family. That was the end of our busy yet fun weekend.
