Our second day in Norway is nearly complete (it is about 4:45 in the afternoon), and it has been a lot of fun so far. We did not do a whole lot today. We were able to sleep in until 8:30 and get ready for a 10:00 English class. We did not do much in English class. The students were working on projects, so there was not much that we can do. The next time that we go to class, we will let the students ask us questions. After class, it was time to get working on some of our American homework. Today, I worked on a Cold War Museum Project for US History, some discussion questions related to “The Great Gatsby” in English, and one section of Pre-Calculus. Overall, it was not too bad, and I was able to get a fair amount done.
The students love to ask us questions about America. One of the most common is “What is the weather like in your country?” That is very difficult to answer because our country has so many different climates. You get a little bit of everything in America. The students are all friendly and willing to talk. Overall, their English has been really good. I am enjoying my time here. Who knows what else I will do today.
