All that I have to say is thank goodness for double shots of espresso!! Most nights here in Oxford, I haven’t been getting to bed until around 12:30 or 1 in the morning. And then, I have been getting up at 7:30 in the morning at the latest! That is far less sleep than I am used to, but it is worth it. During the day, I try and spend as much time out and about as I can. Therefore, late at night is the only time I have to spend in my room and catch up with everything.
Sometimes I’ll Skype with my family. I also spend some time looking over the notes from my classes as I prepare for the final exams next week. It’s also a good time for me to update my Facebook friends and the blogosphere with what is going on with all of my adventures. Plus, I like to stay somewhat up to date on current events going on in the UK, the US, and around the world.
As a result on the lack of sleep I have been getting here, I have started a habit of getting a double shot of espresso from a local coffee shop between my two classes. This has often been enough to help me stay alive, alert, awake, and enthusiastic as I go about the rest of my day here in England!!
